Founded by the Spanish colonists in the early 1500s, the intimate city of Trinidad is surely the jewel in Cuba’s cultural crown. Believed by many to be the finest example of a colonial city throughout the entire Caribbean, the city became Cuba’s second UNESCO World Heritage site. Cobbled streets are lined with pastel-coloured houses while the beautiful plazas are overlooked by striking 18th and 19th Century buildings.

Trinidad holidays - perfect for...

  • The heart of Trinidad is an open air museum and you can spend hours wandering through the streets, visiting churches, mansions and museums
  • One of our most popular itineraries is a stay in Havana Trinidad and Varadero – the perfect culture and beach break
  • In Trinidad you will not be too far from a beach, with the white sands of Playa Ancon just 7 miles away – perhaps hire a bike locally and cycle here
  • The nearby ‘living museum’ of Valle de los Ingenias was the heart of sugar production and today is scattered with the ruins of mills and estate houses
  • For a taste of local life be sure to spend an evening at Casa de la Musica to listen to live music, watch some dancing and perhaps try out some salsa moves yourself
