Egypt Temple

Staying at the plush Four Seasons hotel, you’ll explore bustling Cairo with an Egyptologist before going on to discover some of the world’s most famous ancient temples. Be amazed by the monumental Temples of Karnak and Hathor, as well as the iconic Valley of the Kings where the remains of Tutankhamen are on display. Visit the Aswan High Dam, a feat of modern engineering, as well as the Unfinished Obelisk before enjoying a delicious afternoon tea at a hotel depicted in Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile. No trip to Egypt would be complete without venturing to Ancient Memphis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that encompasses the legendary Great Sphinx and is close to the Great Pyramids.

Taj Mahal

Part 2: India

The next leg of your epic journey involves travelling through India’s ‘Golden Triangle’, staying in three award-winning hotels. You can see the majestic Taj Mahal twice, once at sunset and again the next morning at sunrise, a truly spectacular experience. Next you can marvel at the pink City Palace in Jaipur and beautiful architecture of the Amber Palace, then be guided through the astonishing Rajbari temple complex before meeting craftsmen in the artisan village of Matiari. Cruise down one of the world’s most sacred bodies of water, the Ganges River, visiting the small villages that line it while trying to catch a glimpse of the endangered Ganges river dolphins.

Angkor Wat Cycling

Part 3: Vietnam, Cambodia and the Mekong

Catch a flight to Ho Chi Minh and explore this vibrant city where skyscrapers and ancient temples exist side-by-side. Get a fascinating glimpse into the elaborate network of narrow tunnels which were used during the Vietnam War, witness the hustle and bustle of local traders going to markets surrounding the Delta River, and see how a local family makes the famous conical hats on Gieng Island. In Cambodia you’ll visit a local school, see villagers in their homes and have the rare opportunity to receive a water blessing from a Buddhist monk. You can’t visit Cambodia without seeing Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, and the 12th-century remnants of Angkor Thom. End your amazing adventure in Hanoi, before heading back to the UK.
